عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

طَلَبُ الْعِلْمِ فَرِيضَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

Our Beloved Nabi Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) has said,

“To seek sacred knowledge is an obligation on every Muslim”. (Ibn Maja).

This hadith refers to the acquisition of religious knowledge. It is incumbent (Fard’ayn) upon every Muslim to seek as much knowledge as will allow him to fulfil his religious obligations. For example, a Muslim must know who the Creator is, he must have knowledge of His Oneness and of the prophethood of His messengers, and he must know the way to pray Salaah, fast in the month of Ramadhan, etc.

It is for this very reason, Alhamdulillah, we have established a Madrasah, Islamic classes for your children, where they can come and learn their Deen (Religion) “Islam”.

Our syllabus is a comprehensive effort from Grade 1 (5 year old) to grade 7 ( 13 year old). It is based on all the fundamental aspects of our pure Deen. It covers all that is required to live a life as a Muslim with the knowledge gained in these formative years.

The style has been simplified so that children might be able to retain more of the content.

A second objective is to bring more practical’s and practical application in the child’s life of what is learnt in the classroom.

Thirdly, the syllabus contains many virtues for doing different good actions so that children are encouraged to do good and bring good actions into their lives while they are young so that it can become a habit, Insha Allah.

We at Madrasah tul Mukarram have adopted the syllabus of the Wifaqul Ulama South Africa.
